Of facebook and roasted almonds

So tonight I went to my friend Katie’s place tonight with some other friends, and we played the game “Odds’R”, and then watched The Social Network on netflix DVD… We had fun, as Odds’R is a game of probability and wagering. It, like so many games is one of those you play with the instructions right there…there are too many rules to remember for me, and by the end of it, I had won with a mountain of chips. I was on my last $225 worth of non-negotiable chips, and &100 of it was in ante, and $100 on wager, Katie had just bet the farm and lost, and it was all in the lottery Pot. Kyle was sitting on a pile of chips, and I was broke, and on the next card I won the lottery pot, and a few turns later, game over, I had won, with a vengeance, and I did nothing but make a few bad decisions wagering on things(I knew nothing of), and be frugal in my game…
Well, then we watched the movie, awesome film, it made me realize with a couple of good ideas, some drive, motivations, a little cash, almost anything is possible… What is holding you back? Your social network? What about our own self-non-destructive distractions we all have, that eat our time like langoliers. Get past the silliness, jump out of the boat, and swim to shore, and blaze that trail to your dreams…
now the bowl of toasted almonds… I was just hungry…
